Alejandro G. Iñárritu's Digger stars Tom Cruise as Digger Rockwell, an oil tycoon racing to prove he's humanity's savior before the disaster he unleashed destroys everything, with Riz Ahmed as Ganesh, the head of environmental protection at Rockwell Oil and the film's conscience. It's been one of the most divisive releases of the year, and Robbie waited until he'd seen it twice, first on a CineXL screen and then in IMAX, before weighing in.

The verdict: ambitious, audacious, bombastic, and frustrating by design. The episode opens spoiler-free, then gives a clear countdown before getting into spoilers, so you can bail out before the big reveal. Robbie argues Cruise is giving his best performance since Magnolia, that the "noise with nothing to say" complaint misses the point, and that this is one to catch with the best sound you can find while it's still in theaters.
