1er™ - The Devil Wears Prada 2

Rating:
A nostalgia-fueled sequel that is genuinely better than it has any right to be. The Devil Wears Prada 2 uses the Runway universe as a costume to tell a smarter story about the collapse of traditional magazine publishing — clicks, content creation, and fast fashion replacing the features and spreads that defined an era. It's a real thesis, and the script earns it.
Anne Hathaway is the clear center of gravity here, Meryl Streep brings more vulnerability to Miranda than the original, and Stanley Tucci is reliably great as Nigel. The film runs a little hyper-polished — lots of real locations, drone shots, a Morning Show sheen — but it never gets in the way of a genuinely fun time at the movies. The songs are a real standout and could be legitimate Best Original Song contenders. Good fun. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
